Forcing the Spring: Inside the Fight for Marriage Equality

Forcing the Spring: Inside the Fight for Marriage Equality - Jo Becker As a future law student, Supreme Court nerd, and a person who is personally supportive of the same-sex marriage movement and followed both the Prop 8 and DOMA cases, I can say that this book was a riveting and fascinating account of the inner workings of these two cases. Becker writes with a fast-paced, easy to read flow, and while some of her legal explanations were so watered down as to seem slightly inaccurate, she did a wonderful job of breaking down the complex law into layman's terms and making this accessible to any curious reader instead of only those with a legal education. My one and only complaint is that my edition was riddled with typos and grammatical errors, but of course this is a minor issue and has nothing to do with substance. For anyone who is interested in this issue or interested in Constitutional Law, I highly suggest giving this a read.
