The writing in this story, while far from bad, is not nearly as good as the Cassandra Clare standard I have come to adore. That said, Magnus is still one of my all-time favorite fictional characters, and any story starring him is guaranteed to make me very very happy indeed. Plus it gives me lots of memorable quotes to highlight on my Kindle. Overall, if you're a TMI/TID fan/a Magnus Bane fan, spend the $2.99 and the time it takes to read this. It'll be a fun, light-hearted, delightfully amusing few hours of your time.
